How does sleep help us be more creative?

I love sleeping. I often joke that bedtime is my favorite time of day. It has long been a high priority for me to get enough sleep because I know that in my case, eight hours is the absolute minimum to function well. I go to bed at 10 p.m. and naturally wake up after 6 a.m. If possible, I sleep without an alarm clock because setting it causes me to sleep nervously, unconsciously worried that I won’t get enough sleep.
