Tools for comic-making: A portable comic notebook

Last weekend, while visiting my local Anderson's Bookshop, I came across an interesting find: a compact comic note book. The notebook is a pocket-sized 3-1/2 x 5 inch book with 48 pages of blank panels for you to fill up. It’s perfect for doing comics on the move and keeping it with you at all times. It also comes with a handy stencil for speech balloons and captions.

Having panels already in place can eliminate a lot of friction associated with starting a comic strip, at least in my experience. Such a little notebook with blank panels can also be easily DIYed.

To create a portable drawing set, I bought a metal box that fits the notebook and added some basic stationery that I already owned. I hope that this set will allow me to make comics more consistently.
