Artist shoutout: Isabella Rotman

Isabella is a Maine-based illustrator. I discovered her work last month, when I picked up her 2015 zine, Burn Your Demons, while visiting Women and Children First Chicago for the first time. What drew me in was the beautiful illustration on the cover, as well as the fact that the zine was sealed and I couldn’t find out what is inside until I got it.

I then went to her website to see more of her work. It is definitely dark, and if you like magic, tarot, woods, and oceans, you’ll enjoy it a lot. I also bought an accordion book, again beautifully and eleganty illustrated, because I want to make similar creations, and the most beautiful patch, which will go on my denim jacket. If you’re a gatherer too, you’ll understand.

Isabella's store can be found here.
