Drawing Japan: Chureito Pagoda

I recently got the opportunity to visit the Chureito Pagoda in Japan. Nestled atop a hill, this iconic landmark provides a breathtaking perspective of Mount Fuji.

Although I made sure to photograph the sight, I also chose to slow down and capture it in a drawing. Armed with a sketchpad and pencils, I began to translate the scene onto paper in the crisp winter air. As I immersed myself in the process of sketching, I couldn't help but appreciate the stillness of the moment. The act of drawing allowed me to appreciate the details that might have gone unnoticed in a quick snapshot. In the end, my sketch became more than just a representation of a beautiful scene – it became a tangible memory.
