Drawing Japan: family emblem

I've been learning more about the history of my Japanese family. One aspect in particular that I want to embrace more is its visual identification. Unlike in Poland, where it was reserved only for the noble-born, it is common for Japanese families to have a family emblem. My husband's emblem is a wisteria tree, and I'd like to use it more in my art and also when signing it.
