Balinese Hindu offerings (banten)

Meaning: Making and giving banten is both a gift of gratitude to the Maker and a request to the lower spirits not to disturb the living.

Canang - a small, square, woven basket made of cut coconut leaves and filled with flowers and gifts for the Gods (rice, fruit, cake, incense stick).
