Artist shoutout: Louise Lockhart

Louise Lockhart is a UK-based illustrator that I discovered through her course on Domestika, From Illustrations to Merchandise: Market Your Artwork.

After learning about her art and getting a behind-the-scenes look at how she runs her online store, I knew I had to support her work. Her lovely store is called the Printed Peanut. I bought a concertina book called Up My Street, which depicts a variety of traditional businesses that are disappearing from our towns. It adds so much color to the room and there is something magical in Louise’s illustrations, a truly childlike wonder.

Orders are also beautifully packaged with great attention to detail, as is typical for a small business. Louise is both an inspiration and a role model for me as I prepare to share my art with the world.
